Bargain Hunting - mission tapered shafts

Hello Mod squaders,

I have been lurking and searching for a couple weeks now and enjoying the discussion and knowledge.

One thing I could not find in the archives is any opinions on the Mission team ether tapered shaft. After droping $$ on a couple of xn10/response plus (both of which are broken and have regular blades in the "wrong" end) I am looking for a less expensive option and saw this....

Team Ether at 1800faceoff

40 USD sounds pretty tasty to me as I already have some tapered blades. How do these shafts rate for durability and performance? I play in a fairly competitive adult league where you might take a pretty good slash across the stick and full slappers are allowed. Thanks

look on ebay for some older synthesis --- u can find them for around 55-60 bucks-- which is a whole lot better then the ether shaft.
