Rockered blades vs. Flat blades

Recommended Posts

Ive been wondering this. I have an iggy stick, and a sakic stick. The sakic is rockered. Does this mean the stick is supposed to be shorter compared to the flat because of the rocker?

they are two completely different curves which are for different players. if you like flat sticks, iggy, if you hold your stick normally or really use your lie, sakic. it doesnt take a phd to figure this out

I find I need a shorter stick with a Sakic blade. It is between the mouth and chin for stick height. I just feel more confident that the blade feels flatter and when I shoot the puck I get more control. With a longer stick, the puck seems to slip under the blade when I receive a pass and shots go weird on me.

How do you mean, if you hold your stick normally? I use both iggy and sakic and i dont find it hard to switch between the two

basically the toe of the sakic is off the ground because of rocker, and iggy, the whole blade is basically on the ice

why don't you just go wit what feels best for you? I think we've all established its personal preference, some might like the shaft shorter, some might like it longer right?
