Skate Durability

Recommended Posts

I didn't include Missions on my list because of the problems they had with the bending and breakage( of the tendon guards) issue they had with the S series skates. They seemed to have improved the tendon guards on the new Fuel series skates however the Fuels haven't been out long enough to get a fix on their durability. They don't seem too bad and yes they are also a consideration. :P

How much would you say body size influences the life of a skate? I just started playing again 6 months ago after 10 years off. My new skates (CCM 852) still feel great but would be interested in hearing how much life some bigger guys get out of their skates. I currently play 1-2 games along with another one or two hours of open skating each week. I am 6'5" and weigh 220.

i'm 6'4" 225/230 and played about 4-6 times a week up until about a year ago. and a i posted earlier have goten great life out of my 5000s.

I haven't had my kors for long, but wouldn't they be described as durable? Most people I know say they can't bust em.
