Anyone ever ship a stick from Canada

Canada Post told me ~$60 to England last week. Should be ball park around there. I have had courier quotes to England around 65 to England, 80 to Australia and South Korea.

How close are you to the US? It might be significantly less via the US Postal Service.

That's a great idea, the next time you are in Detroit send it from there. I am pretty sure its going to be significantly cheaper using USPS than shipping from Canada with Canada Post.

I forgot how close Detroit is from Windsor.

why from Canada? :/

Canada isn't much cheaper as germany..

i don't understand your question

I think he is asking why ship a hockey stick to Germany ?

I am guessing that he thinks the price difference of hockey sticks between Canada and Germany is not that significant. Therefore the cost of shipping and risk of having the stick lost/broken outweighs any benefit gained.

Just my guess. I could be wrong.

well someone in germany wants to buy a used stick from me.. so i was "trying" to get a shipping quote.

:)

this is my advice. do a quick wrap up of your hockey stick with newspaper. scrunch up some newspaper and loosely pad it around your stick so that it can act as "bubble wrap". Wrap over the scrunched up newspaper and hockey stick loosely so that it will be puffy. This should be pretty close to what the finished packaged up stick will be (that's if you select this type of packaging).

Get the person's shipping address in Germany. Take the hockey stick package to the Canada Post outlet and ask them how much would it cost to ship it to Germany. Give the approximate quotation to the person and take it from there.

That's the best scenario I can think of because when you really do bring in the final package for shipping the cost may be higher than you expected. In the past I got quotes of $17 based on approximate dimensions of my package. When I finally brought in the final package I got a bill for $30............sigh.
