I have a smart hockey training ball that i stickhandle in the house with and a bunch of pucks that I shoot into plywood board. I've heard that "Fly Pucks" are good to stickhandle with. They are the same shape as a traditional puck so thats an advantage over using a ball.

a golf ball works pretty good for stick handling too. Search for some dry land stick handling drills. I think USA hockey has a bunch on their site.

as far as shooting goes, buy a bunch of pucks and shoot them. I bought 50 of them off of ebay. I took a peice of ply wood, stood it up in the garage, and drapped a peice of old carpet over it and shoot at that. Alot cheaper then a goal, and prolly more durable then some of the crap ones out there. Shoot them all, go up and collect them, shoot them again and you've just shot 100 pucks. You can do it in sneakers if u have a cut down stick, but i put roller blades on just so the weight transfer is more realistic.

You need to look in the "General Hockey Discussion" forum. There are scores of threads on this topics, most people post links to the USA hockey videos and other training materials.

What are your goals... specifically, preferably something that can be measured, but if it can't, that's ok. So give us specifics on what you want, and I garuntee we'll be able to help you more.
