chk hrd 164 Report post Posted January 18, 2007 In the Crease was a pretty good documentary about youth hockey. It gave a pretty good showing of the sacrifices it takes to play at that level, how families are affected by it and how the team relates to each other. If you have ever been involved in youth hockey you will be able to relate to the movie. D-Wo 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2007 1) Youngblood - I saw it when it first came out, I was 10 years old. I had the soundtrack to the movie and would play it all the time, and practice shooting pucks outside with it playing on the boombox haha. I listened to it before our house league championship game and got a hat trick haha I wanted to be just like the Deaner lol2) Slapshot - Classic3) Miracle - The newest one, great movie.4) Mystery Alaska5) The Mighty Ducks (original) - I always thought it was too cheesy with the knuckle puck bs, I was in my teens, entertaining though.6) Hockey Night - Great movie when I was a kid, it was on public broadcasting, I had it recorded on VHS back then and wathced a few times, haven't seen it since. I guess they messed with the DVD release, bummer.7) The Cutting Edge - yeah, not really a hockey movie, but I did enjoy it, its one of those guilty pleasures haha.I'm sad to say I've never seen Les Boys, I'm going to have to rent it soon. I haven't seen any of the others mentioned either, i.e. The Chiefs, The Rocket, Gross Misconduct, or In the Crease. I'm going to have to look into those.I could never bring myself to watch Slapshot 2, I knew it would just be too awful.

crazykeeper3317 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2007 I personnally love laughing at mighty ducks films, i man look at that triple deke! :Dyou actually try it aswell lol.i dont have a favourite really i love them all, slapshot is amazing just the bit where they are all lined up during the national anthem bleeding made me fall off my seat laughing lol, mystery alaska great storyline and i love it how for once the underdogs dont win, miricle is great because of how realistic the hockey is. That brings me to mighty ducks, i loved the films as a kid but when your mate memorises every single joke and repeats them whenever your playing hockey it drives you mad, the amount of times hes lost the puck during a game trying to do a knuckle puck <_< also has anyone else noticed how when they change their jersey goldbergs pads change colour to match it? i need a set of them lol.slapshot two had its moments, mainly the opening with the mascot and the hansons but other bits drive me mad. Methane 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2007 Well, I go tThe Chiefs in the mail today. I've sat down and watched it and that is the MOST depressing thing I've ever seen. I can't locate the 5 guys they featured anymore. Mike Bajurny seems to have gone on to play until 05-06 but he drops off the radar there. The thing that gets me is you spend 25+ years chasing the dream, when do you hang it up? What do you do after you walk away? Judging by the end of the film Tim Leveque couldn't even keep a job as a dishwasher. It just blows my mind.
rwclifto 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2007 Slapshot is hands down the best, of course the sequel was pure garbage. I couldn't believe how bad it was. Miracle of course is awesome, great movie. Youngblood is up there with Slapshot for me. I love that movie. Patrick Swayze's flow is just legendary! Mystery, Alaska is no good. What about sudden death? Van Damme and hockey in the same movie? C'mon!

Dante2004 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2007 I saw a hockey movie on CBC (?) about 10-15 years ago. It was about a semi-pro team somewhere in Canada. I can't remember the name of it... Ahh...okay, with no details and a vague description, my post has become meaningless.I have nothing.
