Extended Warranty on One Piece Sticks?

If a stick company offered an extended warranty on One Piece Sticks, would you purchase it?

Actually that makes more sense than a manufacturer doing it.

Funny how you made me think with your latest comment.

The point we're trying to make is no company will offer that type of warranty unless they make enough to cover the second stick they know they will be sending out.

Going back to this, basically, for the manufacturer or retailer, as I am coming to find out with the more research that I do, the extended warranty is covered by an insurance company, which writes a policy to cover the costs.

So in other words, they are simply selling insurance and hoping that they don't have to pay out on it. I would bet, however, that the cost of the insurance would be far cheaper than what you are paying to get the warranty extended, so, it makes sense to offer it, either way, as the manufacturer or retailer.

JR, there's your money making idea of the day. :D

Exactly - however, the way it can backfire for them is if the customer commits fraud and breaks the stick to get their warranty replacement, which happens a lot. That is why I don't agree with the warranty replacement program.

I bought a Synergy Si-Core once and during my first game using it, I snapped it on a one-timer attempt. I was mad at first but when I thought about it, the stick broke because of my error. I didn't even send it back for warranty replacement. I didn't feel like it was a manufacturers defect. On the other hand, I have seen guys intentionally breaking their sticks so they could send it back before the 30 days was up.

How would the extended Warranty work? Same as now where it's a maximum of one replacement per Warranty period? Or unlimited?

Right now I don't play enough or at a high enough level to get my moneys worth at even those low low prices so I'd opt not to get any extended warranties.
