should my new 5.5 lie stick be shorter or longer than my old 7?

I say longer. If you want to the stick to be at the same height when you are stickhandling then add some length. I went from a 5 to a 5.5 and cut the stick slightly shorter.

Your new stick with the 5.5 lie should be cut longer than your stick with the 7 lie. B)
