How they do the sandpaper grip?

Recommended Posts

A friend told me ....they do the soft grip by spraying glue and sand on the stick(by soft grip i'm meaning franklin air core or the patriot with the grip zone, montreail nitro)

Did some body have a idea??

They probably sandblast it in that area when the paint's wet, then clear-coat it. You can probably do it yourself - get a can of spray clear coat, spray a coat, then sprinkle something gritty, then spray again.

I bet a can of Pow'r Tac would work better for the first coat then sprinkle the stuff then spray clear coat. If you don't want to buy two different things though, the clear coat should work for both.

At some of our local hobby stores they have some of this spraypaint that already has grit in it. I'm not exactly sure what it is called, but it is for making texture. You may want to try that and then clear coat it.

Unless you want to do the whole stick, and don't care about losing your graphics, use Toe-Pro.
