Chara signs 5 year deal with Boston

I'm pretty sure that they were/are planning on using Thomas until Toivenen is ready... which is a bad idea. Either way I don't care.

Which is obvious as you keep posting.

That wouldnt make sense because Toivenen was "ready" before Thomas was even called up. Thomas was brought up because Toivenen, their #1, got hurt, and Raycroft couldnt do the job. Thomas proved to be a good fill in. But in the long run Toivenen was projected to and will be the #1 goaltender.

And I agree with ponty, why do you keep posting if you dont care about the bruins? <_<

IMO Boston is a much better team this year, specially in the regular season. Savard, Stuart, Sturm, Mara, Chara, all new players that will play their first full season with the B's provided they don't get traded. The question is: A) Will Chara disappear in the playoffs like he did this year with the Sens (provided they do make the playoffs) And B) Will Chara "look" as good without Redden? I think that we are starting to see flaws in his game with the new rules and all. He is way too slow to keep up and really not that mobile. He did finish the year with a +17 I believe but he played with Redden pretty much all the time which finished with a +35 and about 10-15 points more. I think the Bruins made a big mistake giving him 7.5 Mills for what 5 years and a no trade clause...damn.. it may come back to bite their asses if he does not perform well!!

I also can't wait to see how Raycroft will do. I think he had a bad year but will bounce back this year. We haven't seen Toivonen play long enough to say if he's ready or not IMO. Let's give him a full year and see. No doubt he's a good goalie but so was Jim Carey when he first started..lol
