Custom Inlines.

Recommended Posts

Yeah it is in Lugano, IISHF European cup.

I was going to try and get it from a store there rather than get it shipped. It depends how much money I have when I'm there.

Denmark didnt play in the U18's European cup last year, but i think the senior team did come last :P

What do you need custom?  I am curious as to why you need something custom?  Let me know...

I think sizing would be the main issue.

I think so. My right foot is a 1/2 size smaller than my left....forcing me to where a larger skate on my right foot with a thicker sock. Unless, of course, I want to shell out for the two pairs of skates of different sizes. (sure the dealers and manufacturers would like that :P ) Or, find someone in the sae situation with the opposite sizes.

Or, I'll just continue to wear thick socks.

Ash_96: Trust me, pay the 12euro shipping fee instead of looking for inlineskates in switzerland. Selection will be smaller and the price tag bigger... That is if you find a store that carry's inliners around Lugano.

From what i know the Danish teams won't be that competetive (again) this year.

Kinda strange since I've played against some of them(inline-puck here in Sweden), and appearantly a danish team are European champions?

A lot of the boot breakdown can happen if you don't unlace your skate far enough before you pull your foot out/put your foot in. If you have unlaced it far enough, your foot should easily slide right. I know this sounds elementary, but look around the locker room. You would be surprised at the people who have to cram their foot in their boot...and don't even realize it. Maybe this is why your boots break down in 6 months? Sounds like otherwise you are taking good care of them.

Yeah i unlace my skates enough when i take the off, i never have to pull them off hard at all, and also i dont push them off using the tendon gaurd. I try to take good care of my skates because they dont usually last long.

How hard is it to write "you" and "see" and "to"?

No offense meant, arrows91, but there's a sticky at the top of this forum to try to enforce a standard of proper english and grammar, not only for the community, but for yourself.

Guys I wanted to post a pick of my new skates but I have to set up an account with photo bucket. First off I'm pretty new to the forum but I used to play a lot of roller hockey and some ice hockey back in the early and mid 90's. I have several pairs of skates but I wanted to try something different now that I'm skating again a couple times a week.

My oldest skates are CCM Kevlar 755's with a polished Sure-Grip H-400 chassis (These have been great skates and are pretty beat down).

My second pair of skates are Bauer H-9 Pros with a Lebeda MVP Pro Hi/Lo chassis. I loved the look of these skates but they just never felt comfortable. The chassis is too high and the way the chassis is made it puts a high arch in the boot and I just couldn't get used to them.

My newest pair of skates, I got these 3-4 years ago just before I quit playing, is a pair of CCM 655's, the Super Tacks CCM made for roller hockey the year they came out with the 755's. The boots were brand new and the original Sure-grip chassis had been taken off by the LHS. I bought the boots and had a set of black Sure-Grip 405 chassis mounted on them and they look really cool.

I wanted to try a Red Star E-Frame Hi/Lo chassis so I took the ice blades off of my CCM 552's, found the center line of the sole and mounted the Red Stars myself with #8 flat-head bolts. They really came out good and I tried them out in a little pick up game yesterday. Man I like this set up. The Red Star chassis allows my boots to set lower to the surface than my Sure-Grips of my Labeda chassis. If they hold up ok they could be the best skates I have ever had.

If I get the photo bucket thing set up I will post some pics.

Thanks Rick Henry

Hey Ash, hockeyzentrale (hockeyoffice) is indeed a very good company. Our shop has a special agreement with them as a reseller, so if I can ever help you in the future let me know. Ordering takes some time, else I could have ordered a pair of skates and give it to one of the Eindhoven players who are also going to the Men's Cup.

Good luck in Lugano. I'm leaving for Huntington Beach tomorrow, for my internship at Revision. I'm writing this weblog of my internship at www.timvanheugten.nl/blog. Leave your comments there if you like.

Cheers,

/T
