What is the best equipment you have owned?

I am asking for your opinion on the best piece of equipment that you have owned. I am not necessarily asking for all of the hyped items like the Vapor XXX's or Bauer One 90's. I'm more interested in those pieces of equipment that have way outperformed any hype that was associated with them. For me this would be my Franklin 8505 gloves and my Mission M1 Pro Pants. Paid about $40 for each of them and I think they have way outperformed anything else that I own. I don't think that I could get much better value.

There are two things for me. When I was a goalie, it was my Vaughn trapper.. Nice pocket, it was easy to catch pucks and keep it in the glove. That was back in the early to mid 90's

As a player it was A Victoriaville (Vic) wood blade. It had the perfect curve for me for stickhandling, wrist shots, snap shots and slap shots. I could do it all very well, it was just perfect but they have long stopped to produce that blade I bought something like 20 years ago or so when aluminum sticks first came out.. or around that time anyway. I have yet to find a blade or combination of blade, stick, OPS, woody that gives me the exact same feel and ability to shoot the way that blade did.

Bauer 8000 helmet and cage, tps hgt gloves, Mission 7500 roller hockey skates, xn10, original intermediate synergy, bauer 8090, bauer 5000 helmet, nike quest 2 pants there is just a huge list of equipment that I have loved I havent made that many bad purchases.

An inherited pair of Jofa elbow pads. These things must have something like 10-15 years in them. I just had the straps adjusted and voila, good as new :D

Initially, yes, they smelled horrible, but after washing and sun-drying them several times spread over 2 weeks, the smell vanished. Whew!

Any my best piece of gear? Either my cup (played one game w/o one, that was also the only game somone felt like putting a stick between my legs... wtf?) or my helmet.
