Tackla thiland

Recommended Posts

I remember reading in a thread that Tackla had some of their pants being made in Thiland. Is that true and if so whats the differance?

Not sure, but it is thailand by the way. A lot of companies outsource there productions to other countries such as third world countries to cut costs. Assuming the product is "assembled" in Thailand than the product could essentialy be the same to the consumer.

killthepoodle was the one who started that topic if I remember correctly. Mine have held up just fine without any problems.

Chadd,

Do you notice any diff. between the models made in canada and Thailand? I currently have a pair made in canada and was just curious.

I have a pair of Jofa Pro elbow pads made in Sweeden but they seem the exact same as the Asian made models.

theyd be pretty much identical canadian and overseas one since tacklas owned by vaughn and I know with vaughn overseas pads they send over the material from the vaughn factory. So I would assume that mike vaughn would do the same with tackla as he does vaughn

My thailand ones have threads coming out on the legs, the zipper on one leg doesnt stay closed, the other side the velcro wasnt sewn on correctly so it doesnt really line up with the other side.....just kind of frustrating after having the canadian ones that lasted forever. I need to send these in under warranty, but I havent gotten around to it.

Kind of frustrating on a $170 pant.

I had Tacklas four or five years ago. They fell apart fairly quickly. All the sewing around the bottom of the legs came undone and the plastic pads constantly fell out. I've stayed away from Tacklas ever since.
