Does that mean I could get a custom curve(mold) from bauer for like 350 + each blade prices?

I don't rep for Bauer. Ask them.

I asked them how a mold cost last year because our team were testing the one90s and some other stuff, they told me it was around 3000$.

That's the thing, he just wants custom composites. At this point they are difficult to get, MIA appears to be making it easier. They seem to be one of the first companies who are openly offering up custom OPS to customers and not having it as a secret option which many LHS don't even check into.

Exactly what I try to say since the begining. It might be possible to get some done by another company, but AT THIS POINT, MIA is the easiest way to get Custom composite curve.

Like SRI said, the bauer guys may have told me 3000 just so I would not want to go further because I am sure they have enough business to do with the pros, etc...

BTW, what's OEM.

My point is that mostly all the people here are beer league player, you are not going anywhere so please use one of the curve out there even if you would have prefered a .5 lie lower!

Yea i pay to play hockey since 8 years now.Having a supreme 6000 stuff(which mean one step lower than the high end stuff). I think i paid enought. What bauer paid to make a helmet?? maybe 25?? and we pay what...150$

Sorry i'm getting off-topic but my point is that hockey is already expensive no need to be more expensive than it is already!Except if you are rich!

agreed, equipment companies rip us off big time.

whats an OEM?

Original Equipment Manufacturer. They make products that are sold by brand name companies who just slap their brand sticker on the item. Happens in every industry.

So you are saying that someone has presented you with the finnancial break down of each individual hockey company and you have sat down and evaluated how the money is spent paying taxes, workers, production costs and other fees. In addition, you are saying that you have evaluated the income of each company. And after analizing the break down of each of these companies you have numbers to prove that each of them are ripping us off? Um, I doubt that.

You are just stating a conjecture...

To be honest i haven't played much hockey due to a badly sprained ankled sustained since last february. i've been trying to physio it but the ankle doesn't feel right and after skating a few times (ice and roller) i've decided to stop for fear of injuring it further.

The one time i played with the MIA OPS, i was disappointed. HOWEVER, i don't want anybody to read too much into this because i had asked MIA to supply me with a custom VERY whippy flex. i never thought i'd say this, but perhaps there is such thing as too whippy! :(

Afterwards i bought a short hosel blade and paired it with the R2 XN10. The blade is definitely very light and on par with the synthesis (in the 135g range). Even though the R2Xn10 is extremely light shaft, the stick as a whole did not feel too blade heavy. I loved my shot with it, but i think that has more to do with the shaft than the blade. i've also got a dolomite grip flex 75 that i'm eager to try out.

I can't really comment on feel cause it's subjective (feels fine to me) and i haven't used it enough to comment on durability.

One last thing to note, the Titan Forsberg is a long blade (almost shanny long), moderate mid curve, and decent loft. To describe it in Easton analogy, it's an iggy shaped blade but with more mid curve and more loft (yet less curve and loft than a sakic).

I heard about that very whippy flex by MIA. Are you the one who plays some ball hockey.

Hopefully, your ankle is going to heal up quickly.

Actually I play all three variants of hockey: ball, roller, and ice!

Ball hockey i play goalie in the PTM leagues which is part of the CBHL. As a kid I was too small to play forward with my older brother and friends, so they stuck me in nets!

Roller hockey and ice hockey i play pick up games with friends and i like to play forward....hence my obsession with hockey sticks...!!

Anyone know of any pat kane pro clones that are mirrored (so RH)? I would rather not put in a custom order, and am hoping somebody may know where I could find a something like this.

I believe Kane's curve is similar to the Easton Shanahan or Camalleri now. It isn't an exact match, but his curve is a tweaked version of the Shanahan. It may be easier finding these at retail than a mirrored Kane pro.

Fair, although Shanahans are tough to come by too haha.
