Vector 10.0 Stick

Recommended Posts

Beautiful -- I knew someone had the answer out there. :D

And as such, let me display my ignorance once more by pressing this further:

I can understand how construction by "layering" versus "molding" can be accomplished in the blade of a stick, wherein the similarity of wood layers can be easily transferred in visual conception to graphite/composite layers forming the blade.

What I have difficulty with is the shaft, for wood sticks are NOT hollow, and yet the Vector 10.0 shaft, like any other shaft -- including the Rbk 7k -- indeed is hollow. So let me ask: How is the Vector 10.0 shaft made similarly (layered) to a solid wood shaft and unlike a (molded) Rbk 7k?

(By the way, can you tell I'm debating purchase of a new shaft... and what the top 2 contenders for my hard-earned cash are?)

WackedWing - look at the hosel area on a Vector next time. You can see how it is layered.

The Vector shaft is hollow to a certain point - then it is solid where it meets the blade.

Reviving a bit of an old thread, but can anybody comment on the flex of the 10.0's? I know the flex chart here indicates 95 flex for regular and 105 flex for stiff ccm sticks and the numbers used at Ice Warehouse composite stick page generally reflect this. (also 80 flex for mid, which makes sense)

http://www.icewarehouse.com/SticksComp.html

But once you click on the sticks and view the description, (CCM Camo, V10.0, V6.0, but not V8.0) they indicate estimated flexes of 85 for regular and 75 for mid. Typo or some truth to it?

http://www.icewarehouse.com/descpage.html?pcode=HSV10

I'm currently using a Synergy ST 85 flex stick and was wondering if the a V10.0 would be an 85 flex that's just right or a 95 flex that's too stiff?
