Mission Fuel skates

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a new pair of skates. Its going to be a while until I'm able to do some shopping at a LHS. Right now I'm doing my shopping online. Gotta love the internet. B)

I just need some feedback on the Fuel skates. No model in particular. However the AG line is catching my eye. I consider myself an agile skater (AG) and not a power skater (XP). I'm probably the smallest guy on the ice if I joined an adult league. 5'6" 160 lbs. I think its pretty cool that Mission tries to cater to different styles of play. Thanks again.

Personally I think the flex/stiff argument they make is a load of crap. You want all the flexibility you can get. Skating power comes from flexing, no? The AG does seem like its a great skate, possibly much better for 98% of players that anything else I've seen. I'll know more Friday night after I see my son in em on the ice. On the carpet they seem awesome.

Missions aren't for everyone though. If you have an average or narrow width foot, ya, but the EE's don't even come close to fitting me.

IMHO there's no better deal out there. The skate is significantly cheaper than other brands' totl skates. Add the free stick which you'd have to buy anyway, and you're looking at a very good deal.

If you like the concept of the AGs get a pair of S500s on closeout, better skate for less money.

i think when you get into upper end skates, its more a choice of which skate fits your foot better, the all preform pretty close to the same when your spending $400 or more right?

I was looking into buying a pair of ag 110's but I got turned off from them after talking to people about them. I ended up buying a pair of 1500's, great stiffness in the lower foot, yet flexible in the ankle with great protection all around. As long as the toe cap dosen't come apart they should be great.

I've got a pair of AG 110s, and like them alot. They felt broken in right out of the box. The only problem I had was that they fit perfectly, then when I baked them they got longer, not a big deal though, I can still skate fine in them. I have a really wide foot (coming from EE V-12s) and a flat arch and the EEs fit very well.
