Rebels Ice hockey 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2006 Im currently skating on Vector 6.0's, and starting to get very frustrated. They are about a 1.2 size too big, and also to wide for my feet. I find that reciently they have really been affecting my skating, it seems that i cant "push" them as hard as I used to. The main problem with the skate is that it is too wide for my foot, and on top of that, my right foot is more narrow then my left. My right skate feels as if its cocked to the inside, and it really is affecting my turns. I have tried differnt footbeds, multiple footbeds, tying the skates differnt ways, thicker socks, checked the mounting of the holders, but nothing i do seems to fix the problem. A few days ago I tried on a pair of Vapor XXs (did not skate in them) and the left skate felt great, however the right skate still seemed to have the problem. So my questions are.....1) Is there anyway to fix this problem?2)Is it possible to custom order two differnt width Vapor XX skates? (I work at a rink and Im pretty good friends with the pro shop manager, so custom ordering shouldnt be too much of a problem.)3) About how long does it take for a custom skate order to come in? (Im leaving for college August 19th, and I would really like the skates before then.)Thanks in advance-Mark
rugdnit 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2006 AUGUST 19th??? the factories right now as we speak and for the next two months are getting the customs out to the pros. i would not hold your breath. try a skate that may traditionally fit more to the narrow side. try on anything and everything and do not be particular to one brand or the other. listen to your feet. not what a big or little guy tells you...... listen to your feet- they are YOUR feet and you will have to be happy with them once you have paid for them. a big guy or anyone else is more than happy to tell you about what he and his buddies use, but at the end of the day..... your feet must be happy.... not the guy who told you to buy brand A or brand B. Drury23 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2006 Go to ur local hockey shop and get new vectors. CCM E (regular) width is the same as the Bauer D Width. So, try em on and possibly work out a deal to get one Narrow Skate and one Regular. That way, it will practically be like having an extra narrow and a narrow skate. Hope I helped. Project_2501 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2006 Wow, yeah. CCM's E is wide. D is, like every other skate, their standard width.Another option would be getting D-width skates, if they fit the smaller foot, and stretching one of them to fit the other, that is, unless you need to stretch a lot of space.
