I´d say read (or meet) the rules for selling stuff on here before you post stuff like that.

I'd say the same thing...and i have read it, but i'm not selling anything on modsquad...it's just a link to generate some traffic and as far as i know i'm not breaking any rules. not trying to step on any toes, i would like to sell on modsquad, but i just don't have enough posts to do it... this is "Plan B"

i bypassed it becasue i can't post there... besides, either website makes no profit from any sale through their forum, all the link would do is promote the growth of an online hockey community so that people can interact with one another, thats what a forum is all about...spreading the word. i posted a link to modsquad at the link that i originally posted here.

Under the "Selling Rules & Disclaimer" topic nothing is mentioned about links...

1. Prices must be posted on all items. You can always come down in price and should tell people if you're willing to do so. Please list the currency of the price (US or CDN $).

2. You should sell to the first person who meets your asking price, this isn't an auction.

3. Be as descriptive as possible. Giving sizes, shooting side, model numbers, etc will cut down on the number of questions asked.

4. If you are linking to an eBay auction of yours, please note that in the topic description.

5. If an item is sold please show the selling price (if different from your asking price), this will help others know what people are willing to spend on an item.

6. If an item is sold, contact a mod to have the topic locked. Every mod can do it.

7. This selling forum is for hockey gear only.

8. If you are not interested in purchasing an item, don't post in a topic. If you feel there is a problem with a sale, alert one of the administrators.

Rules may be revised at any time.

The Gear Exchange section is listed as a courtesy only. MSH is not involved in the contract between buyer and seller. MSH does not accept any responsibility for product defects, fraud, identity theft etc. by members. It is suggested that you use an escrow service or a service like PayPal so that you have options in the event of a problem in your dealings with other members. All transactions are at your own risk.

Thats why i don't think i'm doing anything against rules... as for spamming being frowned upon, i'm not sending emails to anybody or making multiple topics? one topic one link...i'm not a company or store or anything like that, i'm not going to start a website for one pair of skates and i've never sold anything on a forum before and was never really planing to...my options are limited and this is a way to get out there. Again, i'm not trying to rip anyone or piss anyone off...just don't have many options at this point

apologies to anybody offended.... at least i have a legitimate reason, not doing this to grow a business, make profit or anything of that nature

technically speaking, my original post says nothing about selling anything...it's just a link about hockey equipment in a hockey equipment forum, like i said, i'm not trying to sell anything through modsquad...somebody could learn from my experiance as well

But you're posting a link to a forum in which you are selling something. That is not allowed either or else you'd see a bunch of "my ebay auction" thread in this section.

I hope anyone that tries to bypass the rules here learns from your "experience."

Don't take it as something personal, but if you are breaking rules on a forum such as this don't make excuses. Wait for a mod to reprimand you and then don't do it again.
