Vapor XXX

Hello all, I'm looking for some pros and cons with the Vapor xxx's. I saw the reviews on them and they sound great. Are they all that?

Vapor XXX is a solid skate, the vapor line is the more narrow of the bauer skates, and bauer as a whole is more narrow than other brands, so if you're looking for a bit of a wider fit maybe try the supreme one90

Pros

- Really light weight

- Stiff boot for excellent energy transfer

- comfrotable liner

- very responsive to heat (ie molding, or just wearing over time) once broken in offers a very precise fit

Cons

- I personally find the tongue to be a little too thin

- Perferated(sp) steal breaks easily

The vapor XXX is an awesome skate and has been since it came out, seems to be very durable whereas the vapor XX didnt seem to last long. If you are playing a competitive level of hockey and are around 200lbs you might want to consider replacing the chasis and steal to a custom+ and non-perf.

Durabilty on both the steel and the boot as been a lot better on the new Vapors..

I've had my XXX's for about 1 1/2 years and i've only had to change the steels once. IMO, that is the ONLY con with the skate, and it is a minor one.

Sorry to off shoot this kind of, But has anyone done the convert job on XXX and used them for Roller Hockey? Im currently thinking of doing this myself for use on Sport Court and coated cement respectively. Is this a bad idea or the same as converting any other top of the line Ice Skate?
