Tapered vs. OPS

I use a normal saw but if something goes wrong and i need to sand the edges i use a dremel tool. It works really good.

Plus a lot of people can't cut in a straight line.

How much does this affect performance? If the blade still fits in the shaft even if it is slightly uneven on one side -- y should it matter?

If the angle is far enough off, yes it can matter. It can casue the shaft to break down faster, chip or crack.

agreed. and can someone fix the title already? WTF is a tappered shaft?

Thanks for the input. After reading some of the posts in this thread and checking out various blades at my LHS this weekend. I'm gonna go with a combo.
