Any of you guys used Sherwood 3050 or 7000 stick?

Do you mean the 5030? I started with that and I liked the feel a lot. The Louisville TPS X-lite is also pretty similar. Both lightweight, for wood, but not so durable. I didn't like the higher numbered Sherwoods because they were so heavy. Went to the Easton Z-Carbon hybrid sticks after a while. The wood sticks are cheap to play around with to find your ideal stick length.

I was using 7000 and 9950. The feel was very good, but the durability was terrible. I was lucky to get three games out of a stick. The blades always got torn up. I don't think I was a Sherwood problem as much as it was the fact that it was a wood stick. Wood blades just don't last for me.

I used the 5030 for years. Loved the feel of it. The only time it ever broke was when I wanted it to (I got pretty frustrated at times). It's a good stick, and I definately recommend it.

I grew up on 5030's..... Best feel ever.....Durability; none.

7000 is slightly more durable, maybe an 1/2 hours worth more durability.

However, there is one who's durability surprised me; the ETS70SR - SHERWOOD .

I used 5030's briefly last year, and went through 1 every 2-3 icetimes. I also used some blank sher-wood replacement blades and went through those just as fast.

I use 5030's and I get about a season and a half (30 games) out of them before they get way too soft. For the record though I don't ever take slap shots so that definitely increases the life of my woodys. I haven't broken one yet, the blade just becomes too spongey.

I always had problems with the 5030 blade splitting at the bottom. I'm sure it doesn't help that a lot of times when I'm on the ice and a goal is scored on us I tend to bang the stick on the ice in disgust

Actually, every pure woody I've tried except the Bauer 3030 has done that to me, come to think of it... too bad those are out of production and I can never find anything but the Pronger curve at the hockey shop.

Anyway, I've finally settled on the Z-Carbon, they seem to be practically indestructible the way I play, plus I can get the curve I want at the LHS :D
