Alright, my cousin is entering PeeWee Major, but is fairly small. 4'8'' and 70 lbs. His parents don't know much about equipment, but they trust me since I play high school.

I am looking for a good mid range elbow pad. I want it to be mobile, comfortable and still have good protection at the same time. I've got it narrowed down between RBK3ks, Mission Fuel 75's, Nike Quest V-7, Vector 4.0s, and Mission M2s.

Do you guys have any recommendations, pros and cons, or concerns?

Also, I know this is hard to tell, but he is really skinny. Would you guys have an idea of what size he would be? Or the terms of fit for those elbow pads?

I went to my local hockey store in Canada and they only carried Jofa.

Any help would be awesome guys. Thanks a lot :)

Oh yeah, if other please specify

im a little confused.. the store only stocks jofa, but you didnt list them. when it comes to protective equip (shoulders, elbows, and shin pads,) jofa is quite possible the best when it comes to protection. although its all personal preference, i think youll really get your moneys worth with jofa.

what is he wearing now? as he gets older obviously protection becomes a concern for parents. i usually suggest going with one that has padding coming up the arm above the elbow, because thats what they will be using in the years to come. i guess i figure they should get used to it now, so next time they are in bantams / high school the transition isnt there.

I'd look into the Easton Stealth S5 pads. I've tried on a bunch of different models for my 13 year old, and these are the lightest, most comfortable and protective I looked at. The S9 model is overkill and also too expensive.

I also like the Itech 660 model

Thanks a ton HoGuyGuy! :) BTW, what do you mean the S9 is overkill. Way too much protection than necessary for his level of play? Thanks!

Yes,

The Easton S-9s are great pads, but Squirts and PeeWees don't need that level of protection. Protection=bulk and not necessary for 11 year olds. You'll be buying the pro end gear soon enough.

He's gonna be 13 and he's just 4' 8"?! Wow.

Anyways, I have heard nothing but good things about the Stealth S5's. My friend got some around a couple of month's ago and has had no complaints.

No, hes turning twelve in December.

You wouldn't believe how strong he is. BTW, he is so small because he doesn't eat alot and only ways 70 lbs or something. Check out my signature.

I have a 12 year old son who wears the RBK 3k and really likes the way they feel. He's had them for about 8 months and no problems with pinching or sliding around. We had him try on every elbow pad in the shop and he preffered the 3k over everything (even the higher end models).
