Then you take someone who can fit that role the best out of the other selects and put him on that line. Most lines in the NHL are 2/3 anyway, so you just plug in Player X on that line. Bertuzzi could have fit on that line, he's used to reaping the benefits of more talented linemates.

That's the philosophy Quinn always used. Set-up pairings and rotate the rest. St. Louis/Richards, Thornton/Nash, Sakic/Iggy, Maltby/Doan. Didn't work this time. In '98 they tried to send a "team" and that failed as well. It's about the team coming together more than anything. This past olympics the Canadian team didnt' seem to click and didn't appear to really care.

I would point out the fact that the last two disappointments have not had the NHL's best skater on its blueline, either.

didn't want to start a new topic but while talking about the flyers, why the hell did we pick up marty murray again, he's like a 15 goal center, seems to me like another waste of cap space, 'cough' nedved 'cough'
