Is there a big difference between the XIX's and the XIV's? Should I definitely get one over the other. Thanks.

nothing to different about them

Those and the xix boot is much stiffer and with better out-sole, toe caps dipped in pro toe, lighter, different tounge and much more.

They are both decent skates, what kind of hockey are you playing? Once a week or heavy duty? If the latter, go with the XIX's.
