Who are the ones who spenr the 10,000??

I was wrong with my original post of 8-9k

My dad just told me this weekend that he owes a $500 ice fee each month. Thats just for one team also. Then add in all that equiptment, hotels, gas, food whatever. Easily tops 10k.

for my first year when I had to get all my gear etc. plus registration around $1200. For the years after that give or take $500 depending on if I played REP

I paid $35 online for USA Hockey this year. You get their hockey magazine too though which is worth a few bucks, and if you could stand the ribbing from your teammates, you can get a patch from USAH if you get 3 goals or 3 assists in a game. Those are priceless, ha ha.

what patches are you talking about?

i havent ever seen them, no one around here has them on their jerseys .

Our kids get Hat Trick or Playmaker patches, they get them through the League, but they must originate from USA Hockey. They can also get Blueline patches or Zero patches for a shutout (goalies and D-men) But they never wear them on their jerseys, usually on their team coat or jersey bag. I've never seen any adults with them though.
