Kubina Suspended for Opener

I'm not exactly sure what is going on. Bell's foot it broken on a vicious slash and the league decides not to act. Kovalchuk kicks a guy and gets off on self defense. Kubina gets the axe on a crosscheck where Hudler didn't miss a shift? It was vicious and deserves a suspension, but it's weird that 2 superstars were let off for easily suspendable offense and Kubina gets the only suspension

Only saw the Kubina one, and IMO he deserves the suspension he got.

yea, I cannot comment on the other two I did not see, but I did see the Leafs-Wings game and I agree Kubina's was derserved. Maybe its cause it was so blatant in he just randomly jacked Hudler in the chin (face, head) as opposed to leg or foot. Probably goes along with intent to injure by hitting someone in the head as oppose to intent to inflict pain.

Well, in the two cases you mentioned before Kubina, all you need to know is two words: Heatley and Kovalchuk.

They usually make examples of lesser players, not superstars.
