Ever see thse skates at the rink?

I was at pick-up last week and came across a guy learning to play the game with these skates....almost like ski boots. I wonder what they weigh..... :P

They look easy to take on and off, I'd be more curious than anything just to try them. And of course, I wonder who the manufacturer is for LL Bean.

they kind of look like the nike rec skates.

A rink here had K2 soft boot skates as rentals. I heard they were very comfortable...but I wouldnt want to take a puck off them.

CCM makes a similar pair...they are rec skates...for taking the kids public skating...I don't think that are intended for playing hockey.
