Hamilton Bulldogs "Garage Sale"

For those in the Southern Ontario Area...The Hamilton Bulldogs are having an Equipment Sale on Oct 21st prior to the Peoria Rivermen game.

The Sale starts at 6:00 pm and you have to have a game ticket to get into the sale.

I'd assume the usual will be available. Pants, gloves, possibly some skates etc...I don't think they are allowed to re-selll helmets, and with the THC/CCM/RBK deal and the way sticks are inventoried, sticks may be few and far between. The team recently introduced new jerseys, so there MAY be some of the old game worns from the pre-season...but that is just a guess on my part...no confirmation.

And...Unfortunately, I don't hink I will be able to attend, so...no, I can't be your proxy buyer. Just passing it along for those who are interested.

I don't have full details...but I was told tonight that the Bulldogs are having a "Garage Sale" on Feb 8th. It will be prior to the 5p game, and you will probably require a ticket to enter.

In the past these events have included gear...but the staffer who told me about it wasn't sure what would be there. I unfortunately (or fortunately as the case may be) will be on a train home from Montreal at that time.

More details once I get them.

Just wondering what the prices will be like as well and if anybody going will be willing to pick up a few things as well. I'll pay them for their troubles of course.

When they had an equpiment sale, the prices were pretty reasonable.

Gloves/pants - $35-50 (depending on condition...some brand new stuff)

They did have some brand new sticks from traded/callup players - $100

I can't recall helmets...I was really looking for one, and they were pretty beat up

This "Garage Sale" will probably alos have the typical memorabilia stuff as well...hats/shirts/posters/mugs etc...etc...

I went to the equipment sale in March last year which was on an afternoon and by invite only (I knew someone who got me in) but no one asked my name to see if I was even on the list. I got a pair of Easton S-15 skates for $70 and they had tons of skates for around that much depending on condition. They also had RBK helmets with Oakley visors still in the box for something like $50. It was well worth it but the selection got picked over pretty fast. Not sure if the garage sale is the same thing but well worth checking out.

Apparently there has been some confusion from the Dogs. I am having a hard time confirming that there is a sale (even though I was told there is).

But, the guy who is in charge of selling the gear told me that even if there is a sale, Team Equipment is not being sold on the 8th.

Last year the equip sale was in one of the dressing rooms and was in March. It wasn't officially open to the public from what I understand. If anyone has information on THAT sale, please pass it on. I e-mailed the equip manager but got no response like he has more important things to do that facilitate my gear whoring plans.
