How did she get this info?

Recommended Posts

I left some a negative feedback for a seller because she wouldnt respond to my emails so I couldnt pay. About four hours later she calls my house regarding the situation! How in the world did she get my number? I never even talked to her --She wouldnt respond to my emails!! My parents are pretty pissed that our number is out there and they want me to delete the account now. Any of you know how she would have gotten our home phone number??

Give me one day, and I could find your SSN! 411.com has all public phone #'s on public record, therefore if she knows your last name and city, it should be no problem.

Thanks! showed my mom that post and since it has nothing to do with a credit card number shes a little more calm now. I didnt know they had a site like that though where you can get information. Now mama wants to make our number private.

You're going to have to get an unlisted number then.

As a party in a transaction on eBay, she was allowed to have access to your phone number.

If you think about it, eBay would prefer sellers and buyers to work out their problems, rather than leaving negative feedback. Maybe she had sent you a couple of email but they were blocked as spam. Maybe she didn't send you any emails because all the information was in the listing, so she was waiting for you to pay.

Either way, by being able to talk with each other, miscommunications can be overcome.

This is true. We did get it figured out and I'm gona get file a mutual agreement thing to get rid of her negative feedback. Turns out she tried responding to my emails but sent them to wrong address. But I dont feel to bad about giving bad feedback after three weeks because I didnt even know you can get someones number to try to work it out.
