Well for your credibility's sake I hope you weren't arguing that Datsyuk is anything other than a good regular season player because he is useless past April.

In his previous playoffs, he was pretty useless but during the summer he added 12 pounds of muscles this year and it should help him a lot in april. I saw him play yesterday and i can't believe how this guy is sneaky. I'm sure he will do better this year in playoffs.

Granted I'm still giving the benefit of the doubt to Malkin, but until he utilises those skills they mean absolutely nothing.

Obviously not, but he's played more than a period or whatever Malkin has. That's something tangible that people can argue over rather than how skilled someone is because let's face it, no one's a scout here.

I never mentioned once in this entire thread that Kopitar was "better" than Malkin. I was trying to relay that he should be given a significant look as one of the elite rookies this year in the league based on what I've seen thusfar.

Sorry Cavs, I misunderstood your post. I saw Kopitar play again yesterday and the guy has a huge potential.

Uhhh...I didn't say Kovalev was being mentioned in this topic.  I only  mentioned Kovalev because he and Samsonov are usually who you're campaigning for and defending their talent. 

That's a fantastic factoid about where he is in Russian points, but that doesn't make him the 4th best Russian by a long shot.

You have forgot Fedorov, Havlat, Datsyuk and Zherdev. I also defend Wellwod all the time when he was in the AHL. And many others that don't come to mind right now.
