One90s

Recommended Posts

I too had some pain in one of my feet and also a lot of numbness in my toes at the beginning w/ One90s.

My 1st attempt to fix...loosen them up. Worked a little but I didn't feel as agile, clumsy feeling to me.

I then bought new insoles. For me the Shockdoctor footbeds have done wonders. I can't say I've used the Superfeet but have heard great things about them. I now have no pain or numbness.

I would definately try both of those things to remedy the problem. As far as fitting goes, I wear a 12 athletic shoe, an 11 dress shoe (in most cases) and my One90s are 9EE. By far the smallest size skate I've ever worn. Wore a 10.5 in my last pair of Bauers.

maybe your laces are to tight. if I tighten the laces over my arch just a little to tight it causes my arches to cramp. Another thing to look at...Are you pushing down with your toes real hard when you skate (kinda curling them)? I have seen people do that and get cramps in the arches. It is usually when thier skates are a litle to big.

Is it in one skate? Pull out the footbed and make sure they are in good shape and that there is nothing under hem or any bumps on the actuall skate portion.

Your LHS should take them back if they were inproperly fitted or just don't fit right. I had a problem recently with Synergys, and even the Synergy rep said take them back for another pair of Synergy's or another brand. Whatever was needed to resolve the situation. My LHS owner has a small saying about pleasing the customer....."hockey player for life" meaning they will be back for more gear. Not original, but noteworthy.

Id like to add my 2 cents here.

One day, i had the opportunity to wear the ONE90s in a store and they were awful (fitwise, inside the boot). I wear 8090 myself and the fit inside these skate is very comfy and "pillowy" because of the liner and stuff. I always had this feel in my head and once i discussed it with a friend, he said that its because you actually need no pads (ankle and down low near the heel) in them due the baking process and the total adaption to the skaters feet-form. Dont know if thats true but out of the box, the 8090 were better.

Anyways, the thing i wanted to add is this neat custom option:

So I just wanted to tell you all I put in some superfeet in the one90s and it made a heck of a difference.

My feet no longer hurt as much, theres just a tiny bit of pain.

I would reccomend them to anyone I'am very satisfied with the results.

And thank you to OTG for telling me to get them

No worries at all if there is still a little pain you might try baking them for 2 min with the superfeet in and I bet it all goes away.

and your welcome.

OTG, I have a quick question. The tounge on me right skate won't stay in the middle, it always shifts to the right, leaving my arch area no support at all. My right foot has a higher arch than my left and I find that when I force the tounge to allign slightly to the left, I have perfect support and the pronation is gone. Is there a way to make the tounge stay? I tried everything from forcing it all the way to the left and tying it there but after 10 mins, its back to the right. I have superfeet in my skates too.

Thanks
