Datsyukiandeek

More flex...

Recommended Posts

Quick note - did you cut 6" off and not use the 3" end plug?  If it's 9" shorter than before, then with a little bit of extrapolation (approximately a 5.2% increase in flex with each inch shortened on an 87 flex Bauer) , you're looking at a 125 flex stick.

If it didn't have a 3" end plug, then it would be about 111 flex.

My math on a 6" shortened 100 flex shaft gives me 131 flex.

the flex is computed without the end plug.

Putting the plug in lengthens the stick and makes it more flexible.

I just picked up a Warrior Dolomite 75 shaft, and it is definitely stiffer than 75. Compared to my Z-Bubble 85, it only has a touch more flex.

Datsyukiandeek, shouldn't be a prob on breaking the 75 flex.

I'm about 6', 208lbs, and practice my slappers before every scrimmage with my synergy int (flex 75) .... got small hands, and a whippier flex.

Btw, I've just flipped the broken synergy shaft and use the other end. Have to whittle down the hosel a little, but it suits me fine.

My friend had an int. synergy and when he cut n flipped it, junior blades fit in pretty well. you could try that.

As far as breaking sticks while in the act of shooting, I have broken far more 90-105 flex shafts than 80-90 flex shafts. However, so long as you do not have a junior rated flex or anything rediculously flexy for your body type and shooting style, I really don't think flex corralates too much with breaking (especially wheh shooting).
