Just you standard Easton.. The ST stands for SuperTough.. Suppose to have a tougher shaft for durablity.. <_< But I believe it is just a standard Easton Silver...Its a good cue if you like Eastons.....

Actually, it's the blade that's supposed to be "super tough". It has a 3 rib design and blah blah blah. There's tons of threads on it, (try searching for "synergy st" with the quotation marks) but from what I've seen, it doesnt have the greatest feel, and despite the name some users have snapped them pretty quickly. Others swear by them. as with everything else, it's all PP. Hold it and see if you like the feel/balance, and decide based on that and the curve whether it's worth what he's asking.

I've been using it for 4 months and its a great twig. Great durability and its only like 30 grams heavier than the SL.

Ive gone through 3 in the past year, would buy another. good feel, durability is great, my last one just broke on the weekend from a baseball whack from over the shoulders.

First of all, my ST is pro stock (no retail Drury). I'm really hard on sticks, and the one I got is actually holding up pretty well. I've had it since August playing at least 5x per week. The blade has been really good, still pretty much as stiff new, no splitting, and a little toe chippage. The shaft has gotten much whippier than when I bought it. It was about a 100 new, now it's definitely less than an 85. The feel and balance are decent, but this is coming from someone whose favorite stick ever was the Vapor XX. I'm just really surprised I haven't snapped it yet. I'd recommend it.

I'm not hard whatsoever on my sticks and i've gone through 2 in 4 months. Both broke at the fuse point. Good performance, good feel, but durability is questionable.

I've had mine since May, played some ASHL hockey (Rec league) and on the university intramurals.. I play about 3-4 times a week and my st grip is still strong. I don't think I will ever break it, my buddy who plays on the team representing the university (contact hockey) used his synergy ST for a year and he still hasn't broke it.

hahaha no, i'm actually quite a clean player. the puck was dropped back to me of the faceoff (my end, left defence) and as i was breaking out with it some guy came from behind and snapped it about 2 feet down the shaft with a helluva whack. made sure i got the puck out though with a pool shot lol

Did some searching for you... And came up with this. Lots of different opinions in here, but my advice to you is heed the adivce of someone who has the same opinion as you on other sticks that you've used.

thanx everyone for the input.

I went to the LHS today and checked it out. and nope, it's not a stick for me. I didn't like the feeling the stick gave me...didn't like the balance at all. I dunno, it kind of felt "heavy" and unbalanced.

but, I finally purchased a Warrior AK 27 shaft/Federov blade pattern. I followed the advice some posters gave me previously when I asked about that particular shaft.

I think I made the right move. can't wait to try this week ;)

thanx again
