One90 Warranty

Recommended Posts

Now, before i start i have to ask i don't get flamed for posting this, as it was my teammates who suggested i try to get this fixed. During a game last fri i looked down at my skate after the intermission and noticed on the inside of my left boot a huge chunk of leather was flopping around. I ripped it off and continued to play, and didn't really think much of it other then damn cheap stitching on expensive skates. Well after talking to some shops and a bunch of my teammates they all figure i should look into a warranty as the durability of the boot may now be compromised, especially around the eyelets. The problem is i bought the boots from sportchek as i used to work there, and having talked to them they have no idea what to do about it, and i don't want my skates to sit in there store as many warranties do (bikes, ski's, you name it). I'd rather deal with bauer direct, and was wondering if anyone knew the best way to contact them. I was told emailing them with a pic would be a good choice, but the only email i can find is the stick one. I've also tried calling the customer service line but only ever get a voicemail box.

Below is a pic of the damage, if you think i should just leave it let me know, but if bauer will cover this (which i believe they should), any suggestions on the best way to contact them would be appreciated.

The integrity of the eyelets will not be compromised. From the looks of your picture, there is plenty under the eyelet - the tech mesh runs to the edge of the boot.

I wouldn't bother with a warranty claim.

k thats what i figured at first, and knowing they were from sportchek i figured it would just be a huge hassel (hassle?) to get a new pair. Time to go throw in a heel lift!
