Info on a few shafts, blades

Recommended Posts

Ok...been looking around, and have done a search too but wanted some more info. Looking to get a few shafts, blades that I've seen on closeout. Mission M-2, CCM v100, and Bauer Endure shafts. Also maybe looking to pair them with a ST, Nike Quest Apollo, or Bauer v2 blade. I'm leaning towards the Endure or M-2 shafts...seems the M-2 is a good bet, but don't know much about the Endure. How is it? And is it boxy..if so idk if I could go for that with my small hands. And then the blades...the v2 seems pretty nice as does the ST, but hear the St turns to noodle quick, is that the case? Have no clue on the Nike blade except from the couple reviews here.

m-2 with a nike apollo would probably be the best performance combo. i think the v2 is the apollo now, i could be wrong. endure with an st blade would be most durable combo. all 3 shafts are boxy, but id say the m-2 would be the best in that department. m-2 is an amazing all around shaft. you cant go wrong with that and either of the blades you listed.

the m2 shaft is tapered, and the apollo blade is standard. you'd have to find another combo.

from what i recall, and i have pretty small hands, the endure felt a little too boxy for me, but it's pp...

Thanks for the info. I actually was able to stop by the shop before my game last night, and held 2 of the 3 shafts or sticks. I was looking at the intermediate M-2, felt nice but didn't have a nice grip like the Endure. Didn't get a hold of the Endure intermediate, but the senior did feel a little big. Also felt a little hefty, like the ST blade. I got a hold of the OPS NBH v2, felt pretty balanced and the blade itself was light...I was just about to buy it but seeing how I wear out my blades more than the shaft, not a good idea. Is the intermediate Endure shaft a little less bulky? And I'm just making an assumption, but would an Endure= a XX standard shaft essentially?

IIRC, the Endure was boxier than the XX shaft, closer to a XXX shaft. It also has the slash zone with reinforcement. which adds a bit of weight, but nothing you'd really notice if it wasn't there.

Ok....thanks for all the info, but I got a deal I cannot pass up for a OPS. I'll actually share that link in the Good Deal thread in a few minutes after I get what I need ;-)
