Goal Mask cage help

I tried a few searches and couldn't find any info on the Itech Profile 2000 mask, but this is what my goalie is currently using, and he is in need of a new replacement cage for it. I'm guessing that it's been discontinued and or replaced. After looking at pics of current Itech masks, I cant find anything that attaches the cage in the same way. Does anyone know of a current model cage that would fit this mask? Anyone know where I could find one, even if it's NOS of the original replacement cage? Just in case, he needs a size large Cateye. Thanks in advance.

edit: I didn't get a great look at the mask, and I know that it was rusted a bit where the cage screws into the shell, but I was just thinking: would this mask have separate hardware to connect it, or are the tabs welded onto the cage itself? He mentioned that he would need the hardware as well, I'm just not sure if it's separate or not.

edit v2.0: I just found a standard cage on Philbrick's, Itech RP608but he'd still want a cateye style cage. Anyone know a model number that I should look for? thanks again.

The cage used on that mask was recalled so it's unlikely that you will find a replacement anywhere.

Yeah I do believe that cage has been recalled. But you should get your goalie to contact Itech as they'll work with you to replace it.

yeah, they'll be able to direct you to what you can use to replace the cage. Although, considering the level of the mask it might make more sense to buy a new one... Although, if the cage broke was due to a manufacturer defect(*see recall) then itech should replace it for little to no money.

I'd like to know what happens, I'd be interested in how helpful itech's customer service is.

Does anyone know why they were recalled? are these the ones that the welds were breaking on? I did see a recall notice, but I thought it was for a different model cage.

The issue with the cage is that the tabs on the side that the screws go into are rusting away and he had to zip tie it to the mask. Since it's a rust issue, I doubt they'll replace under warranty. At the same time, I don't know how keen he'll be on buying a new mask. I'll talk to him tonight.

Does anyone know if the standard cage was also recalled? (like the one from Philbrick's I posted last night) I'll see if I can get in touch with Itech tomorrow, and monday at the latest to see what the deal is. thanks everyone.

To the best of my recollection, it was the cat's eye that was recalled and not the certified cage. The issue was with the material used for the cage. Under the recall, you returned the cage but received a new mask in return.

I have a customer who wanted a cat-eye replacement for the Itech 2000. Thanks for the info so far. I called Itech and they said they could not help me. They did not mention a recall or anything. Any luck since the original posting of this thread?

Well here is an article about the recall but it is over 2 years old. Whether or not the email address or phone number are still valid I do not know.

Thanks, I'll pass on the number and e-mail to him. The cage did bend indeed, so they might work with him.
