hapamatt122 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 I'm going to be in Helena, Montana the 3rd week of January and would like to trek up to either Calgary or Edmonton to catch a NHL game, just wondering if anyone knows how far the drive is?

kornsined 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2006 calgary to edmonton is 4hrs following the speed limit.Mapquest says:Total Est. Time: 6 hours, 20 minutes Total Est. Distance: 409.18 mileshttp://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.ad...mp;2ex=&2n=BTW do yourself a favour and try to catch an edmonton game. the arena is much more livelier than a calgary's. Although getting tickets can prove to be tough. Scalpers will make you pay.

fatwabbit 93 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 mapquest is a good tool to use...I've got a big trip coming up in Feb, we will be going to about 8 locations in 3 weeks... mapquest has helped me to plan it out. I've added a little more time though, as I've never driven on the right side of the road before (not intentionally at least) and I believe the snow and sleet would make it an innteresting ride. LkptTiger 1 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 mapquest is a good tool to use...It can be, but it's also fucked me over on more than one occasion. This past summer, my buddy and I were driving down to NYC for the Braves/Yanks series (tickets were graduation presents from his father). Mapquest got us lost in the winding backroads of PA. It actually got to the point where I was just looking at the compass in the rear-view mirror - I figured that, as long as we were heading southeast, we were heading in the right direction and would be able to make adjustments once we ran into the Atlantic. KYHockey3 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2006 one time mapquest lead us to the complete wrong place. the thing is, is that we used the correct locations, the system just messed up.
