Developing quick hands

Recommended Posts

Golf balls, wooden balls, tennis balls, wiffel balls, ping pong balls, smart hockey balls...

Just keep doing it and you'll keep getting better, I know a couple people that put water on a wooden tray they made and put it in their freezer and then take it out every morning for 20 mintues and use pcuks on that.

have someone hold a tennis ball and drop it, catch it before it hits the ground.

helps with your whole upper body.

have a friend stand 15 feet away from you and shoot pucks to your forehand side, knock those pucks down! gotta have quick hands and good hand/eye coordination for that... plus it's really fun.

golf balls are clutch and do the triangle puck drill. I try to do the triangle puck drill whenever I can for at least 15-20minutes and eventually add pucks to the group and try to stickhandle through them

I lay out 10 pucks on the floor (because I get bored with just 3 :) ) and go through a few times with a smarthockey ball as quickly as possible. Then I switch to a lighter ball like an orange floor hockey ball or a golf ball. Since your muscle memory is still used to the heavier smarthockey ball, when you use the same effort, your stickhandling becomes way faster.
