Beater anyone?

what is a beater in terms of adding grip to a stick. I asked a guy i no from my local ice team about adding grip to a stick and her said use a beater!?

My guess is a Buttend covered in tape and rubbed down the shaft.

its called "wife Beater" and its a broken cut piece of stick about 8 to 12 inches ling with tape put on it in reverse so you can put the sticky side out and rub it up and down the shaft.

Terrible for your gloves but it sure does work well.

Thats a good point that is as well...the reson I am assuming they call th stick with tape on it that is because after the season the one end gets pretty heavy and well.....hence the name...
