Goal Net Water Bottle Sleeves

Recommended Posts

Anyone know where I can get a couple of the Gatorade sleeves for my rink? Our Pepsi guy is of no use. Anyone in here work in an NHL arena and can get me a couple of just the sleeves, or even a link to where one could Buy some, it would be Greatly appreciated.

Still in constant search for these. I've seen some generic versions for like hiking and such, but just made for the specific bottle that comes with them. Again, any Link, or lead, or anything that'll get me a set of these would be awesome.

*Edit: Also where to get the Straw attachment that JS Gigure uses

most shops around here sell those straw style ones, but they arent curved like that. Your next bet would be to get those laboratory squirt bottles with the straw =)

I don't think he's looking for the bottle (or the bendy-straw on top of the bottle), but the empty sleeve Giggy's bottle is leaned-up against; the one that was designed (and put there) for goalies to put their bottles into to keep them from jumping off the top of the net.

I just bought Two of the new style bottles on ebay, but yeah, I'd like to Try one of the straw topped ones too, as I'm starting to don the pads. Jason, that would be Superb of you, or AT LEAST where to Get them? I've been using skate laces wrapped around the neck and attached to a small carbiner clipped to the net for our HS Games. These would be a Much more professional look. Thanks again in advance.

For the waterbottle with the straw you can get those tube things from the pet store I think they use them as gerbil feeder things but work well and are cheap.

Those have a little metal ball stopper in it. Wouldn't work well for humans.

Sssshhh!

If you didn't say anything we'd end up with a post asking about why everybody has to hold he bottle upside down and lick the end of the tube to get water.

I'm laughing just thinking about a bench full of guys doing that.

im not talking about the one with the ball. The one i was suggesting is just a tube that you can put in the spout thing in a waterbottle that works very well

yeah, we know, just making jokes that are at Least, funny to us. I've looked at those, but they're the very wide bottomed ones, and can't really get my blocker glove around it, and won't fit into these sleeves. After looking at them closer in some closeup pics, they're Just like the cheap Beer Coozies you can get at your LGS (Local Gas Station), but are taller and wider. Again, anyone with more info on where to get these, please post. Jason, anything from Your Rink?

I know about those types, like I said before, hard to get blocker hand around them. Plus It's Gotta be Gatorade brand, since we're a Pepsi facility. I'm gonna call Pepsi today and try and snag a pair or more.

I'm just wondering why you want one of these so bad? Notice all of the nets in the playoffs, none of the goalies take the time to put the bottle back in the sleeve. Seems like it would be a pain in the ass to take off your trapper just so you could use two hands to get the bottle back into the sleve. Throw the bottle on top of the net and game on...

English15x: I have tons of those old bottles, and I have some of the newer versions on order. The nipples on the old ones are starting to get broken during warmups when players think it's funny to send the water bottle flying. Which leads me to..

Wayne: I want these because if you have read my previous posts, I currently used a skate lace tied around the neck of the bottle with a small Caribiner attatched to the net, so they get put into play like I saw in the VAN vs DAL series. I want these to use on our 'Good' nets during High School Games, and other high profile hockey events we have in our facility to give it a more professional look. And since we are a Pepsi Facility, it fits into our advertising motif, unlike the previous Powerade versions.

I have sent an email to our Pepsi guy and I'll let ya know how things turn out.

For the record, Ryan Miller was using his sleeve last night in game one of BUF-NYR.

Even still, some of us don't emulate every aspect of our game after NHLers. we like to do it our own way.

I just want a new gatorage bottle with a "straw top." Not the one that is a bendable straw but the stiff one. My friend has one, I think he bought the top separate.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. The NHLers are not using them because it seems like it would be a pain in the ass to use, not because it looks cool.

Your point in the original post seemed to be that "NHL Goalies don't use it, so why would anyone else?"

I'll admit that I read the post quickly, and didn't pick up on the PITA aspect as strongly as I did the evidence you gave showing that NHL guys don't use them.
