Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 I'm looking for someone experienced in custom orders through Graf to do some Graf customs for me, I took my foot molds to my LHS and asked them to get in touch with our local rep. I wanted to meet with the rep to get a pair of these:Still haven't heard back after a couple of weeks, so I'm looking at other possibilities. Would this be cheaper to go through someone in Canada? I already have a sock mold and the box mold completed. All I need is someone to place the order the right way.

DEATHTRON 19 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 Are molds necessary? Also...what are the molds you spoke of. Zach
Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 As I was told:The molds allow Graf to build the custom skate around your foot, specifically. The foot (box) mold allows them to build the footbed around your arch and foot type. The sock mold allows them to build the rest of the skate to your foot (ankle, etc.), and is a mold that goes up to where a skate would stop above my ankle. Shawn in Tampa 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 I am also VERY interested in this process. No dealers down here in Tampa....Where did you get the mold items?
Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 I got them in a running store here in town. I live in a fairly large city and there was only one place that does it that I could find; I'd check specialty shops for runners.
RadioGaGa 162 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 Do you mind sharing the price of this little undertaking? If not the exact amount, maybe a "there abouts" price range?
Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 Sure thing. So far I'm in $75 for the molds. I'll post again when I finally get the final amount.

Eazy_b97 1 Report post Posted January 3, 2007 yeah ive got the sheets for custom graf skates for measurements only nothing about custom options but OTG and a few other guys on here know a number of different custom options for Graf skatesWould Graf keep the options I had done on my skates for this particular member to use again? Since those are my skates in the pic? I remember they re-made a pair of mine after that flood (still not completely sure how that worked out, or if the flood was the reason) so I would think they had a list of things done to my skates.I never had a mold taken either, just the outlines. usahockey22 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2007 yeah but im in toronto though plus grafs custom charges have gotten alot higher than when Eazy got his doneWell, I'm currently waiting to hear back from another Canadian shop about custom Grafs with them...they quoted me at +125 over retail for the skates. It's been over 2 weeks now though, and they say they still havent even heard back about the skates...was looking to get custom G3 ultras. Is this delay and pricing normal? It would seem that they could at least let people know within 2 weeks just whether or not they CAN do the skates...but maybe the retailer hasn't made an effort to get it going, I don't know. oldtrainerguy28 478 Report post Posted January 5, 2007 Although I dont work there anymore...I personally wouldnt order Graf from another store in Toronto or the GTA for that matter then Just Hockey. I would maybe try Corbbets in Oakville or Pickering Village bout outside of the GTA.The rest well I only know one guy I would trust at any of the other shops. Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2007 Ok, so the guy in Hamilton hasn't replied to any emails in two days after he told me he'd send specific instructions on getting a proper sock mold. Apparently, he doesn't want to do it. Graf won't deal with me directly, and my LHS doesn't know how to order them.
Alias81 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2007 Its only 2 days, I'd say wait a couple more days then send another email to see whats up.
Guy Incognito 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2007 We've been corresponding with one another, and I've had to beg him to follow up on things he said he'd do. I don't think I want the hassle. Anyone here have any suggestions or leads?
usahockey22 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2007 I've been corresponding with someone at Just Hockey as OTG suggested, and haven't heard anything from the other place in over 3 weeks now...the guy at Just Hockey seems pretty helpful, knew right away which skate would work well for me, instructed me on extra measurements I would need to send him...will see how it goes.
