Don't buy colored Tuuks from TotalHockey.net

Kid came in the store with Blue ones for me to install steel on. Clearly they were dyed, I could notice in spots thru the layer the white from the stock holder. He paid $90. Expensive lesson.

It does look like the blue is certainly not all the way through the holder and while it is tough you spent 90 bucks on them I cannot feel that bad since the whole thing was for aesthetic reasons. Take it as a lesson learnt.

Worry about playing before worrying about the color of your holders

So, a person is only entitled to honesty if their reason for buying something meets with your approval? If I buy a car and order it in red and it comes in black then tough because the color is only aesthetic?

And who said he's placing the value of the color of his holders above playin hockey. Don't put words in other peoples' mouth and then criticize them for it. I'm pretty sure he didn't start this post so that you could feel bad for him.

As Jimmy says, "expensive lesson."

If we are talking about some kind of performance feature that is not up to par or as advertised, it is quite another story

It's false advertising no matter what...yea, it's kind of dumb to spend 90 dollars on colored holders, but if they mislead the consumer into purchasing them by giving out false information on the product, it's a problem.

You should contact them and get your money back.

I emailed and didn't hear back yet. I'll give it a few days and give them a call. I really don't care about the "asthetics" of my gear. You should have seen my old XXXs :o They were beat but....oh so comfortable! It was tough letting them go :-)

I just have fond memories of Gretzky wearing the old blue blades on the Oilers.

Thanks guys!

Comparing cars with skate holders now, are we? Oh Vey...Get off your high horse

Nobody's on a high horse except you, dictating what the guy should and shouldn't place value on. False advertising is bad business, whether you are lying about something's appearance or performance. In this case it wasn't only appearance, it was the method of manufacture, which in the end could affect performance. But even if it doesn't the guy mislead him.

If they don't refund you then you always have recourse through your credit card or debit card company. You can file a complaint. I am assuming you used a debit or credit card of course.
