one90's

Recommended Posts

My only lhs does not carry the one90's so I was trying to get a little sizing info as I have no choice but to do the on line and return if they don't fit right. I am currently in 8090's but I have a few problems as these were no fitted perfectly as far as I am concerned. First they feel like they are too "deep" the space between the top of my foot and the boot is way too big. they are also a little big in the toe box...I am in a size 11 8090 so I was thinking to start with a size 10 one 90 and thoughts would be helpful...besides the you should try them on first thing, I know I will spend a few bucks in shipping. thanks in advane.

I have a sz12 shoe and i wear a size 10 Vapor XXX. I like a nice snug fit. In the One90 i would wear a 10 1/2 as they run a little smaller in my opinion.

I think you meant to say 9 1/2

Have you tried them on?

There is another thread that discussed this exact issue.... I'll see if I can find it.

No i meant 10 1/2. Yes ive tried them on and like my sales rep said, these skates are not meant for everyone. For some people like myself the boot doesnt fit the contour of my foot as well as others do. Since i work at a LHS i pretty much have the choice of any boot on the market and i still chose the XXX over the One90.

hmm... you must have odd feet as this is the first I've heard someone going larger in the one90 than the XXX. My daughter was a full size smaller in the one90 compared with the XXX and the 8090.

The 10 in the One90 felt a lot smaller then my XXX as the boot is built to fit the contour of your foot. Going up 1/2 a size gave me a little bit of breathing room and was at my comfort level.

Here is the thread I was thinking of:

Well, you work at an LHS and I don't (yet... as OTG would say...LOL). So, I'm certainly not going to debate your fit with you, but I'd add this caution to benefit other people.... becareful of "in-store" comfort versus "on-ice" comfort/performance.

another thing to beware of with the one90 is the break in period is hell and im hardly exaggerating...supremes have always fit my foot well and the 90s were no exception, and felt great in the store. skating with them for the first 3 weeks was murder...after that period tho i have to say they are the best performing skate ive ever word, wish i could say the same for their durability...

Going up a 1/2 size to increase comfort is defeating the purpose of the skate, which is to eliminate negative space.

As i first stated, i wear a size 10 XXX which is a very snug fit. To get that snug fit i had to go up 1/2 a size in the ONE90 because the 10 i tried on was way too tight. I have no room what so ever in my skates.

thats kinda odd because im a 9d in vapor xxx's but my one90's are going to be 8.5d a 9d was way to big for me

Doesn't make sense. NBH themselves tells you to go down 1/2 size. Just sounds like to me that the ONE90 just does not fit your foot.

Can you skate on them right after baking?

Actually, yes.

2 hrs after bake.

2 hours isn't "right after" to me, hence my comment.
