Parents just don't care anymore.

I see it every day - 8 year old kids come in and trash the store and say things like "OH! LOOK AT THIS! THIS IS SWEEET!" and throw it on the floor when they are done.

My mom would kick my ass if I did that.

me too. I think parents need to dicipline their children more and more importantly make them respectful of other people's stuff.

Too many parents want to be their child's friend and not their parent.

I saw two instances recently when a 2-ish child started smacking the parent. Not one swing, but a running series of swings. When one of the fathers essentially responded, "Now, Junior, you know you shouldn't do that," I felt like saying, "Geez, guy, why don't you do the rest of us a favor and discipline the kid, cuz you know he's only going to get worse...."

I've heard a lot of parents say they have to pick their battles, but I've always said I'm putting up my fight at the front line so it never makes it to the back line.

Same here i had a french kid come to my uncles skate shop, i was helping sort out some stuff, its a little shop in a arena, and the individual comes in and starts messing around with what i was trying to count to see if everything was correctly shipped(the amount of tape rolls) and this young lad starts to play around with some loose tape rolls and shoots them around not hard cuz he was young enough maybe 10ish, and i asked his old man to see if he can get his son to stop, i said it very politly and the old man looks at me and says * Me there i dont give a fuck..much* And him and his son left maybe 1 min after. I mean what a lack of disrespect, was kinda funny to hear him say something like that but still...
