Why the Gray Armband on the Refs?

Is it just to sell more jersey's or is the NHL gonna switch? They don't stand out enough.

I just assumed its because the refs there aren't calling the game like normal. They basically just call offsides, icings, and goals, so they aren't real refs. It also makes them blend in more, which is good from a marketing standpoint.

Also, NHL used to have an orange color scheme. This was changed to silver with the "new" nhl.

NHL changed their mind, back to orange for this season. On the plus side, RBK and Steven Walkom are working on a new design for next season. Because, you know the jerseys have been such a big hit with the fans.

They already have vertical stripes, so they're half way to edge jerseys already. I don't really want to see Mick or Koho in something form fitting. As for the NFL thing, guess who was responsible for them?

agree'd on the no formfitting for the refs. i think they look fine as is, they dont need to move with 9% less resistance.
