Ice-inline wear

Recommended Posts

I was looking around on the internet, and under goalie accessories I found "pad covers". They pretty much cover your pads so they don't get worn down from playing inline hockey. Do your pads really get worn down that much? Should you use a different pair for ice hockey?

yea they get ripped apart lol if you have a look at the thread "your gear" and you go to my pads you can see the rips and wear etc from playing roller, if you look closely at my brand new rbk catcher you can see a bit of wear already on the thumb.

Your pads will wear down on ice too since ice isn't exactly smooth either. Depends on what roller surface too. But pad covers will work, and slide plates might help a little too.

And you don't want roller pads on ice, not exactly the safest. But if your using higher level stuff, it'll be ok, since lotta Mission stuff was being used as such. But going on ice with low level Tours or something, not good.

Battram builds slide plates for some of his pads (might be all, I'm not sure). Otherwise, you can source the materials and construct your own.
