CCM Warranty Return Problem

On the subject of warrantees... i picked up a vapor xx on closeout under a week ago so it should still be under warrantee and I snapped through the middle of it during a game and somewhere between the first period when i broke the stick and the end of the game when i collected it the upper portion of the shaft went missing. Any chance they'll take back just the blade portion under warrantee or am i out a stick?

Mission is actually one of the few companies left out there that lets the dealer handle the warranty exchange. We take in the broken Mission stick and let the customer grab a new one out of our stock. When we have a decent amount to send back i just call up Mission, get the RA, either get credit or replacements and its a done deal. Granted most dealers probably dont like doing this as it takes away from their stock, but in another way its great because it allows us to get rid of some of our stock that doesnt sell.

As far as CCM goes, they are by far the worst when it comes to warranty replacements. Ive had so many customers come in saying they sent back this stick and got this stick back instead. I tell them all i have no control over the situation and they need to deal directly with CCM/Rbk. IF you read their policy closely it says they will replace the defective product with a product of similar value/likeness. It never states "same product replacement". It doesnt take a genious to figure out that customers are going to be pissed if they send back a 10.0 and get a old V130 back instead. Hopefully theyll resolve this problem soon and realize same product replacement is a more customer friendly policy.

You have to question how well this works. I mean how many people call to complain and get another stick? I'm sure not everyone calls but still I think it would be worth the time for them to call/email the customer if they don't have what the customer sent back in stock. I'm sure they have a LOT of people doing warranty replacements but it's a better use of time to give a customer what they want instead of getting a reputation as being the "worst when it comes to warranty replacements." I think a lot of larger companies aren't realizing the value of good customer service. When you have similar products and similar pricing the reason a customer will come back to you is customer service.

Yeah, its funny. In my house the six of us all play hockey for our college so the UPS guy was bringing an ST for my friend a D man and the RBK for me. Someones always gettin somethin.
