z bubble grip 06 shaft -- paint or whatever u call it peeling

Recommended Posts

i finally got my z-bubble shaft...

anyways...

the paint is starting to chip...

there is this guy who tries to defend by whacking the

stick of his opponents...

in 1 game that i have used it... my stick got whacked

a lot of times and it shows... because the paint

or the coating peeled off... showing the silverish

base of the shaft...

is there any way to protect the shaft from continuously

peeling?

coz d shaft starts peeling from the area where the initial

damage is...

it really doesn't matter if the paint is peeling. it is still the same stick, just missing some paint. don't worry about it, just hink of them as battle scars or weight reducers :D

Yeah it works but i wouldn't use at as a grip substitute.

From my experience most people I know that use grip Eastons have the same problem as you do.

i have an sl and it chips like crazy too.

the only thing you can do to keep it perfect is what shute said "frame it"

hockey is a contact sport and things tend to get chipped and discolored.

not problem about the chipping (because of the hacks)... its the total deterioration of it that worries me... coz whenever u touch or grip the area that was hit...

the coating starts to peel off...

It happens. As long as it is not effecting performance it shouldnt be a big deal. I bought a Vector 8.0 OPS and first time out the ovechkin name plate part fell off. I about threw it away because if people don't know im using ovechkin curve there is not point to playing! :D

shipping to the country where Pong plays costs more than the actual product so i understand his concernts.

as for the stick it doesn't seem like anything is structually breaking down so unfortunately there's nothing really that you can do. your stick is fine.

I'm actually in Canada but i do have roots and some family ties from the Philippines. Where do you play? I'm thinking in one of those big gigantic 10 floor malls? Or do they have a rink?

The player pattern sticker on new CCM OPS is supposed to come off.

I assumed so ... was all ment in fun as a joke. I could care less it has battle scars all over the darn stick but has held up like tank. Def switching to CCM from Easton for the relative future.

Any exact reason why it is suppose to come off?

bottom line: it won't affect the performace or structure of your stick so no worries. Any damage will be purely cosmetic.
