T-Blades...

I am thinking about getting grafs with t blades and I was already fitted and the boots fit wonderful. But I was wondering since I live in AZ. and I would have T'blades, where would be a good place to get them from? I would hate to have to order them online every time I needed new steel...

my first guess would be the same place that you're getting the skates from.

If they don't stock them normally, you could have them order 2-3 sets at a time.

That is the downside to T blades around my area. I had to order multiple sets online. Just about evry LHS did not carry them, or where out of stock.

There are decent sharpeners at Behind The Mask, and even got a decent sharpening at the Alltel Ice Den. You don't need T-Blades.

It's too difficult for a smaller shop to carry an adequate amount of replacement blades, because there are too many SKU's. For each length, there are S/M/L rockers and 9/11/13/15/18. That's fifteen runners per length per color! A shop needs to invest a lot of money to carry just one of each option, let alone try to determine whether they should stock five to ten to fifteen of a particular option. It becomes obvious why some of the larger online sites have started to become a source for t'blade buyers.

But that assumes someone is using t'blades solely for the sharpening -- which is true in many cases -- while there are many who use them for the performance.
