Color Code for the Old Synergy Grips

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if any of you guys would know the color code, or name of the shade of yellow that Easton used on the old synergy grips. My dad and I are restoring an old mustang, and thats the yellow we want to paint it. If this is in the wrong section, sorry.

I know for choosing house paints some places have a color scanner...bring in a picture (or item) that you want to use as a reference and it scans/analyzes the color and tells the person how to mix it...I'd think there would be something similar for car paints.

Does this do anything for you...? I have no idea if the codes used to create colors in Photoshop are the same as the codes in an actual paint shop..

Have you seen Screaming Yellow that came stock on the 05 and 06 mustangs? Just go to the paint shop and look at some factory colors and if you don't see any colors you like, I'm sure any good paint shop can mix a color that is very similar to the Synergy color.

Take the stick into a good paint shop. They will have an imaging tool that can scan the stick and create a tint pattern for the paint. Buy a small can and shoot some test panels though, it is not a perfect process, so the tint might need some tweaking to get the correct match.

Also, what looks good on a small surface like a shaft can seem very different on a big panel, another good reason to shoot some test panels.

Do you have a body shop already in mind to paint the 'Stang? I would start there. Try to track down a stick, or as many good pictures you can find. Give the body shop time to "play" and figure out the mix. I know some guys that can match almost any color if you want to bring it to South East Michigan. :)
